The tomb gardens are a type of cultural landscape and historical gardens that have valuable concepts, and we can mention the parameters sustainable development, which are one of the most important research topics in the field of architecture and landscape in recent decades. Recognizing these principles and can be a better understanding of garden and landscape design. Since the cultural sustainability has been discussed less than other aspects of sustainable development, considering the importance of this discussion in the design of cultural landscapes, the purpose of this research is to identify the parameters of cultural sustainability in the design of the Gadmagah Garden of Neishabur as one of the most well-known Persian tomb gardens and a valuable cultural landscape. This can be an effective step towards explaining this approach as one of the dimensions of sustainable development in landscape design. The research method is descriptive-analytical based on the data from the scholars’ perspectives in the field of cultural sustainability and the findings from the design features of the Ghadamgah based on the resources study and the observation of images and documents. Thus, first, the characteristics of Ghadamgah, the principles of cultural sustainability and cultural landscape are described and explained. Then, the features of Ghadamgah garden are analyzed based on the cultural sustainable parameters. The findings indicate that cultural sustainability criteria such as social interactions, preservation of identity and cultural heritage, localism, coordination with the site, and belonging to the place have been used in Ghadamgah Garden design.
