How to submit an article for Peer Review
Receiving and reviewing articles will be exclusively online (online submission) and through the publication's website. The article should be prepared based on the article preparation guide announced by "Great Khorasan Journal of Research" available on the site and uploaded on the site along with the completed commitment form. Articles that do not follow the format and standards of the quarterly will be returned to the authors. To submit an article, pay attention to the following points:
1- How to upload an article in the system
To submit an article, click on the "Send article/Member Login" option, and after entering the system, save the article as a file (Word) as {the main text of the article} and the details of the authors. Upload as {authors profile form} and the completed commitment form as {commitment form} and the completed conflict of interest form as {conflict of interest form}. Avoid uploading figures and tables, letters to the editor, or uploading pdf files as separate files. Upload the file in Word format only. The name of the main file should be "English title of the article", and the name and details of the author or the journal should not be typed in the file title and the text of the article. If the upload is accurate and complete, the article will be placed in the section "Articles under review" (on the right side of the user's page). Otherwise, the article will be placed in the "unfinished articles" section and will not be visible in the expert's folder for initial review. This means that the article has not been sent for review.
Before uploading the file, be careful:
- Accurately upload a file of the type {main text of the article}.
- Along with the main file of the article, the article should also be sent without mentioning the name and address of the authors.
- The "attached text" type file will not be shown to the Reviewer or Reviewers.
- Important note: login to the system with the role of "author".
2- Initial review or expert's summary
After the article is submitted, it will be sent to the quarterly expert for "initial review". Editing the article according to the format available on the site, as well as carefully reading the "Author's Guide" page to fix possible problems, is the responsibility of the corresponding author; And it is impossible to note point by point the items requested by the expert for all submitted articles. Due to the repeated observation of similar cases, due to the non-cooperation of some authors, the article remains in the initial review stage for a long time. Therefore, before submitting the article, be sure to carefully read the article preparation guide file available on the site; And follow the items mentioned on the "Author's Guide" page completely. Downloading one of the articles printed in the latest issue of the quarterly from the site can help the author as a good example, with the difference that the authors' names and details are removed from the article submitted for Peer Review. Except for the mentioned cases, all the cases are similar.
Very important note: the article is sent to the journal only once with a specific tracking code, so the corresponding author is requested to send the revised and modified article as a new article with a tracking code after receiving the comments of the referees. Do not send separately, because the records are accessible with the original tracking code; While the revised article is again placed in the initial review stage like a new article. It should be noted that the article file should not be sent to the expert or the editor via email.
3- How to track the article
To track the article, click on the {article code} option to be informed about the different stages of the case. After initial review and expert approval, the article will be sent to the editor of the journal. All steps can be seen through the {article code} option.
Important point - Do not send emails to the editor or members of the editorial board of the quarterly to follow up on the status of the article, as well as follow up in person or through respected faculty and students.
Common errors in articles sent to the magazine
The name of the main file of the article (Word) is registered in the name of the authors or their details. The name of the file should be "English title of the article".
The author uses the old guidelines for compiling articles of the Khorasan Bozor Journal, which is not acceptable. The guide for preparing the article is available on the site along with the commitment file.
The author mistakenly uploads the article several times; And an article with different tracking codes has been posted on the site. The article should be uploaded only once. In case of a mistake, cancel for all the codes assigned to an article. Only one article (with a specific tracking code) should be sent to the expert.
The tables of the article must be clear according to the format of the quarterly magazine, so that it is visible and clear in the printed version as well as the electronic publication (pdf format).
In the text of the article, in most cases, the method of in-text referencing and source writing is not based on the quarterly format.
English keywords should be exact translations of Persian keywords, and should be listed below the abstract in order of importance.
The process of Peer Review and deciding on the publication of an article
1- After sending the article and other necessary files to the quarterly through the system, in the first stage, the article will be reviewed by the expert group of the quarterly in terms of compliance with the compilation guide.
2- After the initial acceptance, the editor, the specialized secretary and the scientific committee in the second stage evaluate the article in terms of the quality of the content and the relevance of the topic.
3- After acceptance in the second stage, the article is sent to two referees. Peer review is anonymous, and authors and reviewers have no knowledge of each other's identities. Decision making in the arbitration process is as follows:
A- If two reviewers evaluate the article as "unacceptable", the article will be rejected.
B- If the opinion of one reviewer is "overall review" and the second reviewer's opinion is "unacceptable", the article will be rejected.
C- If the opinion of two referees is "overall revision", the article will be returned to the author for revision.
D- If the opinion of one reviewer is "partial revision", and the second reviewer is "unacceptable", the article will be sent to the third reviewer, and a decision will be made according to the third reviewer's opinion.
4- After making the revisions suggested by the referees, the author will send the revised article, to be given to the referees for further evaluation.
Every two weeks, an e-mail is sent to the referees to remind them, and if the article is not refereed after 6 weeks, the article will be withdrawn from the referee, and it will be sent to another referee. The duration of obtaining a certificate of acceptance in this publication depends on the amount of necessary corrections, the expert opinions of the Reviewers, the speed and accuracy of the author in the revision stage, and the final opinion of the editorial board. The issuance of the acceptance certificate is subject to the final approval of the editorial board, and takes between 4 and 11 months. The editorial board's decision to accept or reject each article will be based on the evaluation of the expert opinions of the Reviewers and their correctness, scientific documentation, and strong reasoning.
