Guide for authors in Greater Khorasan Research Journal
We express our deep gratitude and appreciation to you, the esteemed and knowledgeable researcher, for submitting an article to the Research Journal of Greater Khorasan. Please pay attention to the following before submitting your article:
In the Research Journal of Greater Khorasan, scientific articles consisting of "research articles," "review articles," and "case studies" within the framework of the journal's themes are accepted, evaluated, and published. The selected topics and titles of the articles should be original, innovative, free from bias and generalizations, and by presenting reasoned arguments, contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the journal's thematic areas.
The reasons for "non-approval" of an article before submission for review are:
- Lack of alignment of the article's topic with the journal's themes.
- Translated articles, short articles, opinions, and scientific notes.
- Lack of a scientific structure and reliance on collection, description, or use of purely narrative or reportorial methods in the article content.
- Repetition of the content of the article.
- Failure to comply with the guidelines mentioned in the author's guide.
- Failure to upload any of the files mentioned in the author's guide.
- Failure to adhere to the minimum percentage of similarity in the uploaded "text authenticity certificate" (maximum 15%).
- Articles previously published in domestic or foreign journals, or conference proceedings, or awaiting publication.

Dear authors, taking into account the following points and the attached guidelines, you can upload your article through the journal system:
All stages of submission, review, revision, acceptance, and ultimately publication of articles will be exclusively done through the journal system.
Having an email address and an ORCID ID is mandatory for all authors.
Requesting a certificate of acceptance for an article before the confirmation of revisions by reviewers will not be possible.
In articles extracted from master's and doctoral theses, the name of the supervisor is generally registered as the corresponding author. However, the journal will not be responsible for the order of author names or the introduction of the supervisor as the corresponding author of the articles, and the corresponding author of the article must accept the responsibility for respecting the intellectual property rights of the university in which the thesis was defended. After indexing a new issue, changes in the "order, composition, and position" of authors of articles in that issue by the journal will not be possible.
The journal is free in editing, summarizing, organizing, and arranging the content.
Greater Khorasan Research Journal follows the rules of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). When scientific misconduct and any scientific violation of research ethics are detected in the presented article, it will immediately be removed from the peer review process, and the editorial board has the right to take any necessary action within the framework of the regulations.
The author's refusal to make the proposed revisions by reviewers and the editorial board within the specified period will mean withdrawal from publishing the article unless the author responsible requests an extended deadline after the specified revision time has expired.
In case of withdrawal from the review and evaluation process of the article, the responsible author must send their withdrawal through the journal's website (request for article retrieval). The withdrawal letter must be signed by all authors, then sent as a PDF file.
The opinions expressed in the article and the observance of the rights of authors and researchers are the responsibility of the author(s) of the article, and Greater Khorasan Research Journal will not be responsible in this regard, and the responsible author bears the responsibility for the accuracy of the content.
In order to increase the number of citations of the journal and improve the indices of Greater Khorasan Research Journal, it is appropriate to use references to published articles in this journal and related to the subject of the new article in your citations in the article submitted to this journal.
How to Submit an Article for Peer Review
The process for submitting an article for peer review has been exclusively moved online, with submissions being made through the publication's website. Authors are required to follow the article preparation guide provided by the "Greater Khorasan Journal of Research," which can be found on the website. Along with the completed commitment form, the article must be uploaded to the site. Articles that do not adhere to the formatting and standards set by the quarterly will be returned to the authors. To submit an article, please take note of the following instructions:
Uploading the Article in the System
To initiate the submission process, click on the "Send article/Member Login" option. After entering the system, save the article as a Word file, indicating the main text of the article and the authors' details. Upload the file as the authors' profile form and the completed commitment form, as well as the completed conflict of interest form. Please refrain from uploading figures, tables, letters to the editor, or any other files in PDF format. Only Word format files will be accepted. The main file should be titled with the English title of the article, without including the authors' names or the journal's name. If the upload is complete and accurate, the article will be placed in the "Articles under review" section on the user's page. If any information or documents are missing, the article will be placed in the "Unfinished Articles" section and will not be visible to the experts for initial review. This indicates that the article has not been submitted for review.
Before uploading the file, please ensure the following:
- Accurately upload a file of the type "main text of the article."
- Do not include the names and addresses of the authors within the main file.
- The attached text file will not be visible to the reviewer(s).
- It is important to log in to the system with the role of "author."
Initial Review or Expert's Summary
After the article has been submitted, it will undergo an "initial review" by the quarterly expert. It is the responsibility of the corresponding author to edit the article according to the format provided on the site and to carefully read the "Author's Guide" page to address any potential issues. Please note that it is not feasible to address every item requested by the expert for all submitted articles, as this has caused delays in the initial review stage. Therefore, it is crucial for authors to thoroughly read the article preparation guide on the site and strictly follow the instructions outlined in the "Author's Guide" page. To serve as a helpful example, authors may download and refer to one of the articles published in the latest issue of the quarterly; however, please remember to remove the authors' names and details when submitting the article for peer review. Unless otherwise specified, all cases follow the same guidelines.
Please note that an article can only be submitted to the journal once, and it must include a specific tracking code. Following the referees' comments, the corresponding author is requested to submit the revised and modified article as a new article with a tracking code. Do not send the revised article separately, as the records are associated with the original tracking code. The revised article will go through the initial review stage again, similar to a new submission. It is important to emphasize that the article file should not be sent via email to the expert or the editor.
