Brickwork, which had been considered by Iranian architects since pre-Islamic periods, reached its peak during the Seljuk and Khwarezmshahid eras. In addition to the development of brickwork in the Khwarezmshahid period, this period can be considered as the beginning of the use of colored glazed bricks in the facade of the building. A typical and complete example of this case of ornaments can be seen in the Zouzan Khaf building. The decorative bricks of this building are more than seventy-five types of different brick layouts and various brick cuts with geometric, plant and inscription designs that will be studied in this research. The method of this research is descriptive-analytical and the required information has been collected in two methods field and library method. This study seeks to answer the following questions: How many categories the brick decorations of the Zuzan Khaf property can be divided into? What patterns and proportions are used in these decorations? Based on this study, it was found that the distribution of brick designs of this building can be summarized in its two porches, the western porch (Gibla) has a greater variety of these designs. The western porch contains geometric, plant, inscriptions and simple brick designs and the eastern porch has moqarnas with various brick layouts and a small number of geometric designs. The geometric brick decorations of this building consist of twenty-seven different and very rich examples that can be classified into two categories: decorations with a simple geometric pattern and decorations with complex geometric knots. These ornaments have followed geometric patterns including: octagonal and tufted sun knots, drums and pentagonal quinces, regular arrangement of octagonal patterns, rhombuses and circles. Plant ornaments, which include seventeen examples of total ornaments, often include a combination of different Islamic ornaments, which are decorated with brick-cutting technique in turquoise and azure colors, and finally twenty. An example of the brick layout of this building has veneers with different flower-sizes that have been created with different colors of turquoise and brick.
