During the fourth to sixth centuries AH, Saadat families were formed in Khorasan and other parts of Iran. The family of Sadaat Hosseini Araji Balkhi is one of these families that settled and lived in the Balkh region. Relying on the descriptive-analytical method, the purpose of this study is to address this question: what social, political and cultural position this family had in Khorasan during the rule of the Turks (389 - 618 AH)? Using the historical and genealogical sources, the findings of the study indicated that the members of the Hosseini Araji Balkhi family, were appointed as noghaba of sadaat in Balkh and some other Khorasan cities such as Ghazni and Marv due to their privileged social status among the Turks community and rulers, They were also employed in important political occupations such as the Riasat, Nadim Sultan and ambassador. Their recurrent privileged social status and their popularity with the Khwarazm Shahs, led sultan Mohammad Khawrazmshah to choose one of the prominent scholars of this family as the Muslim Caliph in opposition to the Abbasid caliph. Prominent poets, hadith narrators, jurists and artists emerged among Sadaat Hosseini Araji balkhi. They also tried to hold scientific meetings, support the scholars, and train the students. Despite following the Shiite religion, they followed the pattern of unity in the Islamic community of Khorasan, emphasizing the commonalities between Islamic religions.
